Corporate Gifting and Custom Clothing

As you  consider corporate gift ideas for this year, make sure to include the gift of custom clothing on your list.

It might not seem like an obvious choice at first. You probably don’t know your recipients’ measurements. You don’t know their style. You might not even remember what they were wearing the last time you saw them.

A J. Hilburn custom shirt package, however, takes all the guesswork out of custom clothing. When you purchase a J. Hilburn custom shirt (or set of custom shirts) for someone, you give them:

  • Access to their own J. Hilburn Personal Stylist.
  • Assistance with fit, style, and wardrobe-building.
  • The luxury of having a shirt created from ten of their unique body measurements.
  • The ability to choose from dozens of fabrics in an array of colors and patterns so that they can get the look that they prefer.
  • A selection of twelve customization options for their final shirt(s).
  • The choice to make their custom shirt as formal or casual as they want it to be.
  • A Shirt that Fits™–truly.

Moreover, you give them something they can remember you by.

In fact, a J. Hilburn custom shirt meets all the requirements that most people are looking for when seeking a good corporate gift idea. It’s thoughtful. It’s personalized. It’s unique. It’s useful. And since it’s a shirt, it will get multiple uses: every time the recipient slips it on, he’ll think of you and your business.

So let’s talk.

Schedule an appointment. Send me an email. Give me a call. I’d be happy to help you create a custom shirt gift package for your corporate gifting needs.

J. Hilburn 2014: The Rise of Fall

With autumn comes the return of of so many favorite sights, smells, and moments. Crisp autumn leaves. A slight chill in the air. Apple cider, pumpkins, and golden light.

And, of course, the release of the J. Hilburn Fall 2014 Collection.

This year’s Fall Collection is like any other in that we still have our signature blend of high-quality fabrics, classic styles, and custom and ready-to-wear options. But this year is also like no other in the ways we’ve deepened our attention to texture, color, and autumn elegance.

See for yourself.

J. Hilburn Fall 2014 checks

In addition to our mainstay fabric selections for our custom dress shirts, we’ve added a series of fall-inspired checked fabrics. The colors–berry, sage, brown, and grey–say Fall. But the shirt–designed to fit your specific measurements and preferences–only says you.

J. Hilburn Fall 2014 Loro Piana

With the rise of Fall comes the rise of outerwear. You don’t need to sacrifice your style with the coat you wear. In fact, with this Northeastern Overcoat (made with Loro Piana’s patented Storm System fabric), you can enhance your style.

J. Hilburn Fall 2014 corduroy

Corduroy might be the quintessential Fall fabric. J. Hilburn offers both made-to-measure trousers and personalized jackets in a wide selection of corduroy colors. As an added bonus, your J. Hilburn personal stylist can help you select complementary (and awe-inspiring) shirting fabrics, ties, and accessories.

J. Hilburn Fall 2014 ready-to-wear jackets

This season, J. Hilburn released a set of ready-to-wear jackets. They are slightly more affordable than our personalized jackets, but they’re still crafted with our commitment to quality, fit, and style.

J. Hilburn Fall 2014 cashmere

Slip on some autumn luxury with one of J. Hilburn’s cashmere sweaters. Set it off with our AG or JBrand denim. Add a belt (or even a J. Hilburn custom belt). It’s the perfect blend of comfort and style, and it’s so very Fall.

Contact me today to schedule an appointment so that we can update your Fall wardrobe. Or, if you’re interested in pursuing a career as a J. Hilburn personal stylist, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me: I’d love to share my experience and more about the company with you!

Eloping in Iceland: The Bride was Gorgeous, the Groom Wore J. Hilburn

You may have already seen the pictures of the bride and groom who ditched their U.S. wedding and eloped to Reykjavik, Iceland. In addition to their wedding attire, the couple also took their wedding photographer, Gabe McClintock, along with them. Once in Iceland, McClintock captured two days’ worth of breathtaking photos. There were mountains, waterfalls, dramatic skies, lush green hills and, of course, two young people obviously in love.

These images went viral soon after the couple shared them on Facebook soon after their ceremony. Once you see the pictures, it’s easy to figure out why.

With all that viral attention, you still might not know one important detail about these pictures. Namely, the groom wore a J. Hilburn Blue Nailhead Revenge 140 suit on his wedding day. With a personalized suit and made-to-measure trousers, it was a perfect fit for one of the most important days of his life.

I, for one, don’t think that this suit has ever had a more incredible backdrop than the one it has in these pictures.

I am proud to call the groom, Josh Walk, my stepson, and I am thrilled to welcome Sarah into the family.

Like every J. Hilburn suit, Josh’s was personalized and made-to-measure. Contact me today to learn more about how you can wear an impeccably fitting J. Hilburn suit or tuxedo (without breaking your budget) on your big day.

A J. Hilburn Conference Recap

Just this past weekend, J. Hilburn wrapped up its annual conference in Dallas, Texas.

Located at the gorgeous Hilton Anatole, the conference brought together hundreds of J. Hilburn personal stylists and corporate executives. We participated in workshops and social media training. We had the chance to meet representatives from Italian fabric mills, fashion magazines, and more. We got a sneak peek at J. Hilburn’s Fall 2014 clothing line. We saw inspirational talks and presentations from the likes of Scott Bedbury (internationally known branding expert), Nic Screws (fashion editor at Esquire Magazine), and Brian Boye (fashion and grooming director at Men’s Health Magazine).

Quite simply, the J. Hilburn conference was amazing. It showed me time and time again why I’m so proud to be a part of this company. They invest in creating beautifully crafted clothing, and they invest in supporting and training and building up their network of personal stylists.

If you didn’t get the chance to attend the conference this year–or even if you did–here’s a visual recap of some of the conference highlights.

I was honored to meet Silvio Albini from Italy’s Albini Group fabric mill. Founded in 1822, the Albini Group and its partners make extraordinary fabrics. In fact, Mr. Albini took the time to show us some of David & John Anderson‘s (an Albini Group brand) luxury fabrics.

In addition to our custom dress shirts, suiting, and ready-to-wear items, J. Hilburn offers custom black-tie formal wear. These Fall and Winter looks are classic while still providing an eye-catching pop of color.

One of the best parts of the conference is getting the chance to connect with other J. Hilburn stylists. These incredible women hail from Arkansas and are members of my J. Hilburn team. They are all rockstars!

Few things could make any of us wish away this beautiful summer. This display, however, made all of us anxious for Fall and the opportunity to offer these items to our J. Hilburn clients.
